Our Culture is constantly growing and improving, moving forward and creating new and more useful technology. Current manufacturing processes are more advanced than they have ever been and new practices are being discovered and implemented daily. The Old World, Old School hand craft techniques are being morphed into computer and machine directed methods and during this growth spurt, much of these venerable abilities are being lost as we move ever closer to being a total throw-away society.

Printed circuit boards are old hat. Extruded and injection molded parts are the norm. A new purchase has a limited use life of three to five years, breaks and is then relegated to the scrap heap to be quickly replaced by a brand new cheaply made (but updated) copy of the old item. At the same time there are STILL some crafts people around who are doing things the old fashioned way. They create incredibly useful, beautiful and functional works of art completely (or at least partly) by hand using those Old World Old School techniques.

This site is a celebration of some of these crafts people and the wonderful works that they create.
